Needle Hill viewed from the Shing Mun Reservoir
Needle Hill or Cham Shan (Chinese: 針山)
is a mountain in New Territories, Hong Kong.
It has an altitude of 532 m.
This is a part of a popular hiking route
including Grassy Hill and Tai Mo Shan.
The mountain got its name due to the resemblance of a needle by its peak.
Stage 7 of the MacLehose Trail near the summit of Needle Hill
Needle Hill is located within Shing Mun Country Park.
The Shing Mun Tunnels pass through the base of Needle Hill.

Duration : 4 hrs.
Difficulty : 7.5/10
Direction: Tai Po Market Station Exit B
Take Minibus 23K from Exit B to Wun Yiu.(Last Stop of 23K)

Walk along Road after getting off from the minibus.
Once you have reached a junction,
follow the sign to Lead Mine Pass do not turn somewhere else
before to sign of Lead Mine Pass.

The uphill steps can be hard its 20 minute walk to next Junction.

There are many signs for leading you to
Tai Mo Shan and Shin Mun Reservoir.
Go to the left after you pass the Pavilion
& follow the Tai Po Kau sign.

Next junction you will see Grassy Hill and Needle Hill sign.
Keep continue and Follow the road sing Grassy Hill/Needle Hill
and keep an eye on sign along the way.
Follow Needle Hill sign and you will reach it.

Turn left from another junction where you will see
Grassy Hill and Needle Hill sign.

Turn Right from next junction and follow Needle Hill

and continue following needle hill sign.

after this go down stairs to pineapple Dam.

After Pineapple Dam turn Right to BBQ and Public Toilet
Follow the Maxicab sign from Toilet.
